Wickwar Brewing Co, Gloucestershires largest independent brewery, brew the best beer in the land
Not only was our ‘Station Porter’ voted the supreme CAMRA Champion Winter Beer of 2008, but ‘Station Porter’ was voted the Champion Beer of Britain Bronze Award, at the Great British Beer festival, the biggest beer festival in the UK held every year at Earls Court in London.
Ray Penny, Wickwar’s founder and Managing Director, said “this is turning out to be a fantastic year for all of us at Wickwar. We had changed our strategy slightly this year, which meant that it was easier to administer the Wickwar ale and fizzy stuff, not forgetting the well acclaimed ‘Wickwar Screech’ which was asked for by name over and over again. The chant became “Screech for some Screech” and they did. Not forgetting the other quaffable beverage ‘Stagefrieght’ now a firm favourite at Wychwood Music festival.
